I'm writing about the pros and cons of my new portable gaming system: The DS. To start of I'll describe it. It comes in 3 colors, classic silver (the first color it came in. Also the color I got since that was all there was.). Metallic blue and pink came out a few months later. It is quite large, like two game boy advances put on top of each other. It has a fold up screen like the game boy SP and the first thing you'll spot is its new feature...two screens! Wario was confused by this design and you might be thinking 'how can I look at both screens at once?' answer : You don't have too. Most games are displayed on the top screen (with the exception of Sonic rush, Pokemon Racing) and maps etc are on the bottom screen. The screens are also quite large. There are four buttons on the bottom right hand side of the DS (the A, B, X and Y button) and the arrow pad opposite it. The DS has revolutionized the way we play games for the better... using touch. The bottom screen is a touch screen. This allows for you to choose at menus much faster than pressing down on the directional pad. It also lets you experience the fast game play of Wario-Ware Touched and pet your Nintendog! Worried about the touch screen becoming dirty? Nintendo have included two styluses and a place in the DS to keep the secure. If you don't have a steady hand, or do but want to try to do better anyway, Nintendo have also provided, with your DS, a thumb strap to help. How kind! There are some extra features the DS can do. It remembers your birthday and lets you personalize it according to your taste. It changes theme colors and lets you make up a username too. Not only does it just play DS games, It can play your game boy advance games too. It comes with a backlight built into it too so it can be played in dark. It can play multiplayer wirelessly up to 10m away and comes with the free chatting system Pictochat (the o is a smiley face!) so you can chat to other people on a DS 10m away so you don't have to bother your neighbors shouting across the garden. Now here is the really special thing which makes a DS stand from the crowd is its Internet game play. It can connect to your wireless internet connection and play against people all around the world! Play even if they live 100s of miles away! It is revolutionizing the world, first computers, next Play station 2s and now the hand held game consoles. The game range is also increasing by the week. I hope this helps you understand why it is different and special. Thanks Nintendo! Pros:
